Rachel Hogen MD

Dr. Rachel Hogen is a board-certified abdominal transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon. Prior to joining Tampa General, Dr. Hogen completed a two-year abdominal transplant and hepatobiliary surgery fellowship with Keck Medical Center of USC in Los Angeles, Calif., where she previously conducted clinical research for the Division of Hepatobiliary and Transplantation. During her training, Dr. Hogen also served as a chief administrative resident during her general surgery residency with LAC + USC Medical Centers and was the recipient of the USC Department of Surgery’s Outstanding Scholar Award.

Dr. Hogen graduated from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine in 2013. Before beginning her training, she earned her bachelor’s degree in international relations with honors from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. Additionally, she received numerous All-America accolades as a member of the Johns Hopkins University cross country and track and field teams. Active in research studies for more than a decade, Dr. Hogen has been credited with several abstracts, presentations, and medical publication entries in areas of her expertise.
