Sheldon Taub MD

Sheldon Taub, MD, is a gastroenterologist with Tampa General Hospital Digestive Health Center, formerly Gastro Group of the Palm Beaches. He has been practicing medicine in Palm Beach County since 1979, and is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. Dr. Taub earned a Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, and went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. Later, he completed both his internship and residency in Atlanta, GA, at Emory University School of Medicine – Grady Memorial Hospital, and trained for his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Miami. Most recently, Dr. Taub served as co-chairman of the South Florida Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, president of the Florida Gastroenterology Society, and served as a member of the Board of Governors of the American College of Gastroenterology. He also earned fellowships from both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. In addition to teaching medical students and volunteering with local clinics, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising daily, and pursuing his love-hate relationship with golf.
