Evangelia Katsoulakis MD

Dr. Eva Katsoulakis is a board-certified radiation oncologist whose passion is to improve patients’ lives through the use of data science and health informatics inspired by her patients and from her undergraduate training at MIT, where she received dual majors in Biology and Economics. She serves as Director of Head and Neck Services for Tampa General Hospital and the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Director of Radiation Oncology Clinical Informatics. Additionally, she is an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Katsoulakis previously developed the Radiosurgery Program at James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa. She also has worked to improve the quality of care for VA patients through her informatics work with the Veteran Affairs National Radiation Oncology Program Office in Richmond, Virginia, and the Veteran Affairs National Precision Oncology Program in Durham, North Carolina. She is a Collaborator Research Member at Moffitt Cancer Center and has received funding from the Department of Defense as well as William Bankhead Coley Cancer Research Grant to study big data, including radiomics and genomics. She is also a founding member of digital twin in health care consortium. Additionally, Dr. Katsoulakis served for four years as the co-leader of the Radiosurgery Program in the Department of Radiation Oncology at New York-Presbyterian (Cornell-Columbia) Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and was inducted into the hospital’s Healers’ Hall of Fame.

Dr. Katsoulakis is a frequent contributor to scientific journals, books, and publications and has produced original oil paintings that were featured on numerous covers of the International Journal of Radiation Oncology. She speaks multiple languages, including Greek and Spanish.
