Charles Bailey MD

Dr. Charles J. Bailey is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the USF Health Division of Vascular Surgery. As a vascular and endovascular surgeon, Dr. Bailey's expertise in complex endovascular and open surgical techniques allows him to treat a wide range of vascular conditions including aortic aneurysms and dissection, carotid artery stenosis, peripheral arterial disease, limb ischemia, and dialysis access.

Dr. Bailey was born and raised in a suburb of Detroit, MI. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and completed his medical education at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Surgical training was completed at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, with a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery here at the University of South Florida. Throughout his training he has had the privilege of working with pioneers and leaders in vascular surgery, developing expertise in both traditional-open vascular surgery and the latest less-invasive endovascular therapies. Dr. Bailey is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in General and Vascular Surgery. Additionally, he is certified by the American Registry for Medical Diagnostic Sonography as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI); RPVI credentialing allows him to interpret ultrasound studies of vascular disease performed in his in-office vascular lab. Dr. Bailey joins USF Health after several years of practice in the greater Tampa area, establishing a well-respected reputation in the region for his commitment to evidence-based patient care. Communication and compassion with patient and their families is central to Dr. Bailey's vascular practice.
