Sherman M. Chamberlain MD

Dr. Chamberlain holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology with highest honors from Johns Hopkins University and a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He then completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at University of California San Diego. Dr. Chamberlain has been practicing gastroenterology since 1998 and is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Gastroenterological Association. In addition to many years of experience in private practice, Dr. Chamberlain also was a professor of medicine at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA, and at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. When Dr. Chamberlain isn’t providing patients with award-winning health care, he enjoys exercising, reading, traveling and spending time with his wife and three grown sons.
