Samuel S. Weinstein, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.S.N., has been affiliated with transplant and nephrology team since 1978. He completed a clinical and research fellowship in renal medicine at Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston, MA and his residency and chief residency in medicine at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. Dr. Weinstein is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and nephrology. He is currently a clinical associate professor of medicine at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Weinstein specializes in nephrology, hypertension and transplantation. He has conducted extensive research in those areas and has been awarded numerous research grants. In addition, his work has been published in many journals. He is a Fellow of the College Of Physicians and of the American Society of Nephrology. He is a member of the Florida Society of Nephrology, the Transplant Society and American Society of Transplant Physicians to name a few. In addition to over 50 publications, Dr. Weinstein has been awarded the Mosby Book award as well as the prestigious American College of Physicians Laureate Award.
