Corinne Shamehdi PA-C

Corinne Shamehdi is a certified physician assistant with Tampa General Hospital. Equipped with strong expertise in several specialties, she has more than 13 years of professional experience in the hospital and health care industry.

Prior to joining Tampa General, Shamehdi was as a hematology/oncology physician assistant with New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s bone marrow transplant/cellular therapy program in addition to serving other departments at the New York, N.Y., academic medical center. She has also worked as a physician assistant in breast oncology surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, N.Y, and as a clinical research coordinator with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine’s breast health program. She is credited with several publications in areas of her expertise, including blood and marrow transplantation, and breast oncology.

Shamehdi received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Florida in Gainesville and a graduate certificate in health sciences from the University of South Florida, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences. She speaks English and some medical Spanish. Outside of work, Shamehdi enjoys yoga, cycling and cooking.
