Erol Vahit Belli MD
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Dr. Belli attended both the University of Tampa and University of South Florida for his undergraduate studies. He also pursued his medical degree from the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Subsequently, he received his general surgery training at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, holding the prestigious title of chief resident as well as Mayo Clinic Scholar, which is given to only 1% of Mayo Clinic physicians. Dr. Belli completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine, gaining extensive knowledge in transplantation, ventricular assist devices, complex aortic surgery, and reoperative cardiac surgery. Prior to joining USF Health, Dr. Belli was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Florida. He is also currently the Co-Director of Aortic Surgery at Tampa General Hospital.
