Colleen Miller-Owen MSN, APN, CDE

Colleen Miller-Owen, MSN, APN, CDE, is certified as a family nurse practitioner and diabetes educator and has 25 years of experience as a nurse and diabetes educator. She is an expert in the care of patients with diabetes and associated illnesses and has a special interest in diabetes technology. She received her BS in nursing from Ball State University, her MSN from Loyola University Chicago and a post-master’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner from Northern Illinois University. Before joining TGH, Miller-Owen worked as a nurse practitioner and diabetes educator at Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group in Wheaton, Ill. She is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) by the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists and is also a certified insulin pump trainer.
