Dr. John Pawloski is a hematologist oncologist at Tampa General Hospital who specializes in stem cell transplant. Prior to joining Tampa General, he was the program director of cellular therapy at the University of Arizona Cancer Center at Dignity Health/St. Joseph Hospital where he performed 11 autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplants, one matched unrelated allogeneic transplant, and 13 peripheral blood hematopoietic progenitor cell collections. Dr. Pawloski was also section leader of malignant hematology and medical director of hematology. He has served in medical director, chief clinician, and professorship roles at leading academic and treatment institutions including Cancer Centers of America, Drexel University College of Medicine, and Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Pawloski performed the first hematopoietic progenitor (stem) cell transplant in enterprise history at both the University of Arizona Cancer Center and Cancer Treatment Centers of America-Atlanta. He has been recognized by Press Ganey for HCAHPS and CAHPS patient satisfaction. Dr. Pawloski has three patents and his clinical research has impacted treatment protocols for patients with large B-cell lymphoma and multiple myeloma. He has made over 50 media appearances and published numerous peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and presentations. Dr. Pawloski has memberships with the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, American Society of Hematology, and Alpha American Society of Clinical Oncology.
